Welcome to the department. This department comprises of staff who bring a range of experience, including both classroom and that gained from industry to the lessons, thus providing exciting and engaging lessons. The positive learning environment that this provides acts as a catalyst to boost student progress to enable them to achieve. We are committed to teaching and learning and aim to promote innovative practice, both in terms of our teaching and our use of practical activities to enhance learning.

The department offers students with an engaging learning environment where they can develop understanding of new technologies and their application in the world of work. The combination of both theory and practical lessons give students a varied and structured diet.

The team are committed to raising aspirations and to equip them with the skills needed to reach their own goals. We place huge importance on developing independent, analytical and critical thinking, soft skills in addition to their subject specific knowledge.

Resources and Facilities

The faculty has two large, fully equipped classrooms, with state of the art facilities. Both rooms have a range of software needed to complete tasks, including Adobe packages, Microsoft Office Packages and a range of computer programming software.
