Nexus Dance Platform

Astrea Academy Woodfields were delighted to once again be invited to the Nexus dance platform at Hall cross Upper School on Wednesday 16th January 2019. 9 students studying the Y9 Btec Technical Award in Dance attended showcasing the dance they have been developing as part of their classes. Kenzie O’Sullivan, Ebony Bogan, Emily Russell, Jess Rowe, Keira Basingthwaighte, Lucy Wilkinson, Ellie Burton and Hollie Welsh all performed beautifully in their contemporary dance ‘Rise’. All the dancers were incredible and did Woodfields proud with both their behaviour and amazing performance skills. As well as getting to perform, we also got to see some remarkable talents from across a variety of schools, colleges and universities which were an inspiration for our students. Some of the talent displayed showed skills well beyond the years of the performers involved. It was a pleasure and an honour to be involved in such a fantastic event and a big thank you needs to go to the dance team at Hall Cross for inviting and involving us once again. We can’t wait for next year!
