Astrea Woodfields are proud members of the Higher Education Progression Partnership (HEPP) which works across the Sheffield City Region to encourage more children and young people to consider higher education opportunities. This programme is jointly funded by Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield. On 21 March, 38 of our Year 8 and 9 students attended a day at the University of Sheffield. During this visit students completed a range of activities and workshops linked to higher education. In the morning they attended a choice and pathways workshop looking at the range of courses provided at universities. The day also included a tour of the academic and student facilities and in the afternoon students attended a benefits of HE workshop. They had an opportunity to meet with two undergraduates and ask a range of questions.
