We place a very high value on the positive relationships we have with our parents and carers at Astrea Academy Woodfields. We encourage all parents and carers to take an active role in your children’s education. Your involvement makes a real difference and helps us to make sure that every scholar at Astrea Academy Woodfields has the best possible experience here.
We aim to be as transparent and open as possible in all we do and we welcome any questions or suggestions that you might have about your child or about Astrea Academy Woodfields in general. We will work hard to ensure that we communicate regularly with parents and carers and that you are always up-to-date with our activities and our plans for the future.
There are a number of ways you can get involved in the academy:
- Attend our regular parents’ evenings: We hold regular parents’ evenings through the school year and encourage parents to come along and meet your child’s teachers face-to-face.
- Attend our school events: We host a variety of events throughout the year, such as school performances and celebration assemblies. We love to see our families coming along to support the young people at these events. It’s also a great way to get a feel for school life here at Astrea Academy Woodfields.

Fundraising
At Astrea Academy Woodfields, we strive to provide a rich and distinctive learning environment for our scholars. In order to continue offering enriching experiences, up-to-date resources and vibrant learning spaces, we sometimes rely on the generous support of our school community.
There are many ways our families can help us:
- Attend or volunteer at fundraising events: When we run events such as quizzes and fairs where we are able to raise funds for the school. Please do join us at these events, or sign up to help if you can spare some time.
- Corporate sponsorship: If you own or work for a local business, we would be very grateful if you would consider sponsoring part of a given project or matching community donations.
- Make a donation: One-off or monthly donations are very welcome. If you are able to give in this way, please contact the school office on office@astreawoodfields.org.
