What is Family Dining?
Family Dining is one of the highlights of our day and is an integral part of being a Woodfields Scholar. Family Dining reinforces family values and community by ensuring that our scholars eat together, every day. Each table shares a tray of the same meal, and all scholars have a role to play- including setting the table, serving the food, and clearing up and wiping the table down at the end of the meal. We recite poetry, give appreciations, and take time to talk to each other, focusing on a different topic every day. All scholars must eat in the Main Dining Hall in allocated seating as part of our Family Dining and Family Dining is compulsory.
Family Dining costs £2.88 a day* and the charge is taken out of your hold’s account every day automatically. It is not possible to opt out of Family Dining or to have a separate meal through preference, including a packed lunch. Dietary requirements are catered for by scholars collecting their individual meals from the servery.
